USA Softball: Stand Beside Her Tour Adds Second Stop in Missouri, Now in 18 Cities

USA Softball announced a new stop on the Stand Beside Her Tour over the weekend —making it five new ones in the last week and 18 cities over all.
The Red, White and Blue tour will roll through the Midwest as the 2020 USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT) will be in Kansas City, Missouri on May 1 preparing for the Gold Medal in Tokyo when the sport of softball returns to the Olympic program for the first time since 2008.

“Kansas City is only three hours from home for me,” said USA Softball WNT member, Kelsey Stewart who hails from Wichita, Kansas. “I am so excited to have a tour stop where all my friends and family can come watch how this team is gearing up for the Olympics.”
During the Kansas City tour stop, games will be played at the Kansas City Major League Baseball (MLB) Urban Youth Academy (1622 E 17th Terrace, Kansas City, Mo., 64108) with the first matchup slated for 5 p.m. CT and the second game taking place roughly 35 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.
Hosted by USA Softball of Kansas City, tickets for the game will go on sale February 1, 2020 and will be listed on USASoftballKC.com. General Admission tickets will be $15, Baseline Bleachers seating $20, Reserved Infield Bleachers are $25 and Reserved Stadium Seating will be $30. Standing Room Only (SRO) tickets will also be available, with infield SRO for $15 and outfield SRO for $10.

The “Stand Beside Her” tour is a series of competitions and The “Stand Beside Her” message encourages fans everywhere to stand united in their support of the WNT and the United States in their journey to the Olympic Games.
The tour will kick off in February with the USA squad competing in a pair of prestigious college tournaments and run through the summer right up to the start of the Tokyo games.
The 2020 USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT) announced over the last month several additional stops on its Stand Beside Her Tour featuring a series of competitions and training opportunities for the 2020 USA Softball Women’s National Team (WNT) as it prepares for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Olympic competition will start July 22, 2020 with the Gold Medal Game being played on July 28.
As created and first announced in August by USA Softball, the Stand Beside Her tour “evokes a powerful message of unity aimed to inspire communities to stand beside HER – the members of the WNT, America and the future generation of female athletes.”
Currently there are 18 stops on the tour hitting 11 states and extending from February to June prior to next summer’s Olympic Games.
